Bloomsburg Falls to Millersville in Men's Soccer

BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team lost 2-0 to Millersville in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game at Sports Stadium in Bloomsburg.
In the first half, Eric Moninghoff (Upper Black Eddy/Palisades) was ejected just over a minute into the game which put the Huskies a man down for the entire contest. Playing tough defense, the Huskies still managed to keep Millersville out of the net as David Leiendecker (Easton/Easton) saved four shots. However, Bloomsburg couldn't turn up the offense and the game was scoreless at the half.
Seven minutes into the second period, the Marauders took a 1-0 lead in the on a goal by Mack Jones. Just over 40 second later, Millersville's Chris Teter scored on a penalty kick to increase the lead to 2-0 where it would stay for the rest of the game.
Damian Ambrosia saved five shots in goal for Millersville (1-5-2, 1-5-2 PSAC) who won their first game of the season. Leindecker also finished with five saves for Bloomsburg (1-7-, 1-6 PSAC).
Bloomsburg will travel to Slippery Rock on Thursday for a 4:00 p.m. start.
